JOB DESCRIPTION:
Wimba, the leader in web-based collaboration software designed for online education, language learning and live interactive communications, is currently looking for a motivated International Sales Engineer. This position supports the International new sales and account management team in achieving revenue plan goals by providing subject matter, pedagogical, and technical expertise, engages customers and prospects to define how Wimba solutions map to organizational goals and initiatives, and assists in sales opportunities, business development initiatives, marketing efforts, and development projects defined as strategic by Executive Sales Leadership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Participates in sales meetings with customers and prospects, presenting the technical and pedagogical aspects of how our products, services and/or solutions solve specific customer problems.
- Evaluates technical / pedagogical problems and presents technical / pedagogical solutions.
- Supports sales pipeline development activities by creating effective just-in-time training and professional development opportunities.
- Serves as a knowledge base to help sales create periodic usage reports showing user volume, potential ROI value propositions, and areas of proposed up-sell expansion.
- May deliver product demonstrations at industry conferences and at customer or prospect sites.
- Maintains a comprehensive technical understanding of Wimba’s products and technologies.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of Wimba’s competitive landscape.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical field and 5+ years of field sales experience, or equivalent, required
- Well-developed sales skills
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Well developed presentation skills
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Ability to interact with peers, customers and executive management.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from C-level administrators, IT managers, faculty, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to develop technical implementation project plans and Scope of Work documents.
- Ability to work with other vendors or resellers to build appropriate solutions.
- Spanish language skills a big plus
