Barbara Ross is responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of product and services at Wimba.
Ross brings over 20 years of experience managing educational technology and methodology companies to her role as co-Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Wimba, Ross was a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of WebCT, Inc. a provider of internet-based software used widely in post-secondary education. Throughout WebCT’s evolution from start-up to maturity, Ms. Ross at one time or another ran every functional group in the company except finance. Her particular areas of focus were marketing, product development, customer support and services. Prior to WebCT, Ms. Ross was a founding employee of Information Mapping, Inc, where she eventually served as General Manager of each of the company’s two major divisions and then as Vice President for Marketing, Research and Development and Customer Service.
