New York, NY – (March 16, 2006) – Horizon Wimba announced today the release of its enriched PowerLinks for WebCT Campus Edition 6.0 and WebCT Vista 4.0.
The new PowerLinks feature a number of enhancements which integrate Horizon Wimba’s Live Classroom and Voice Tools solutions so thoroughly into WebCT Campus Edition 6.0 and WebCT Vista 4.0 that they appear as if they’re native WebCT tools. In addition to still allowing WebCT Course Designers to manage and configure Horizon Wimba’s collaborative applications from within WebCT, the new PowerLinks feature:
· Expanded access settings which allow guests to access Live Classroom from outside of WebCT Vista
· 10- and 20-minute audio lengths now available for Wimba Voice Tools, allowing faculty and students to make audio postings which can be accessed within Campus Edition or WebCT Vista or even from an iPod
· Any Wimba Voice Tool may now be set to different values and the title can be edited after its creation
· Updated Voice Tools diagnostic
Just as with Horizon Wimba’s PowerLinks for previous versions of Campus Edition and WebCT Vista, WebCT Course Designers can now:
· Manage and configure Live Classroom and Wimba Voice Tools settings within Campus Edition 6.0 and WebCT Vista 4.0
· Access any Live Classroom or Wimba Voice Tools content from within Campus Edition 6.0 and WebCT Vista 4.0
· Utilize content from within WebCT Vista’s File Manager
· Add Live Classroom meeting announcements and Wimba Voice Tools links directly to their Campus Edition 6.0 and WebCT Vista 4.0 calendars
These latest PowerLinks again enable WebCT instructors with an easy and efficient means of adding a human, personal touch to their WebCT courses because they never have to leave the WebCT environment to create, configure, or use Horizon Wimba’s Live Classroom or Voice Tools.
