New York, NY – (October 29, 2007) – Wimba today announced that Mike Golde has joined the education technology leader as chief financial officer (CFO) and a member of its executive team.
Golde will be responsible for company’s business strategy, planning and governance processes, and strategic growth initiatives. Golde will oversee all of the company’s financial and administrative groups, including finance, accounting, and facilities. “As we continue to scale the organization, we are excited to have Mike join our management team and help move Wimba to the next level,” said Tommaso Trionfi, CEO of Wimba. “His extensive senior management experience with high-growth companies and blend of financial expertise, M&A and capital market experience, and operational planning will be a strategic advantage to Wimba. We look forward to Mike’s leadership as he helps Wimba continue to widen its lead in the rapidly growing collaborative learning software market.
Golde brings to Wimba over 17 years of broad experience in financial management with rapidly-growing organizations, helping them access capital markets through public offerings and private placements of both equity and debt, bringing mergers and acquisitions to closure, and integrating operations. Prior to joining Wimba, Mike was CFO and a founding member of management at Accretive Solutions, Inc., helping grow the company from start-up to $150 million in revenue. Before Accretive Solutions, Mike held various financial management positions with Career Horizons, and through a series of transactions and corporate restructurings, with AccuStaff (now MPS Group), Strategix Solutions, and Randstad North America, where Mike was Controller. Mike began his career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers).
